NCCU’s USR efforts began in Wenshan and have expanded to Hsinchu, Miaoli, Taoyuan, Changhua, Nantou, Yilan, Keelung, and Taichung, reaching underserved areas and diverse communities, including Indigenous peoples and new immigrants.
Various teams and projects reflect different interpretations of social engagement—like streams merging into a river, they form the rich and dynamic ecosystem of NCCU's social responsibility landscape.

NCCU in Action
Thriving Wenshan · Empowering Rural Areas · Mountain Tea Routes
Since 2021, NCCU has strengthened local partnerships, forming the Wenshan USR Alliance with seven neighboring universities to share resources and collaborate on social responsibility efforts. Examples include remote education for Indonesian migrant workers and digital marketing for new immigrants.
Despite the pandemic, we prepared through USR seed projects. As global travel resumes, we aim to extend our social impact regionally and globally, collaborating with universities on medical, agricultural, and marine issues—advancing toward USR 2.0 with sustainability at the core.

Meaningful Connections
Protecting the Earth · Creating Well-being
To strengthen local ties and drive social change, NCCU partnered with seven other universities in the Wenshan area to co-host the Wenshan USR Joint Exhibition, showcasing each school’s efforts in promoting social responsibility.
Beyond booths and displays of educational and cultural outcomes, the event featured live performances and a formal signing ceremony establishing the Wenshan USR Alliance—marking a step toward lasting collaboration for greater social impact.
